Fiona Bruce appeared on Coronation Street in August 2012 as an unnamed Doctor based at Weatherfield General following the admittance of Tracy McDonald due to a severe kidney infection, with returns to the role in March 2013 as an unconscious Stella Price was hospitalised following the Rovers' fire, and in February 2018 when Carla Connor was rushed in due to suffering from kidney failure.

Originally from Aberdeen, she studied French at Newcastle University and went onto train as an actor at Studio '68 in London and Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris, and has been in the profession for nearly thirty years.

TV and film credits include roles in Connected, Scot Free, Grange Hill, The Ward, Emmerdale, Prime Suspect 3, Heartbeat, The Royal, Last of the Summer Wine, Strange and Taggart, whilst on stage she has appeared in productions which include Oliver Twist, Casualties, Mother Courage, The Waltz, Threepenny Opera, The Mayor of Casterbridge and Playing for Time.

Fiona has also worked on a huge variety of voice-over projects, including computer games, Spanish and French language tutorials and interactive training projects, and has also worked on projects for BBC Radio 4 and Swedish Radio.
