The Fire Officer put out at fire started accidentally by Dennis Tanner when he was decorating 15 Mawdsley Street for Len Fairclough. Dennis's blowtorch had ignited some paint and rags, and the fire crew had to spray under the floorboards.
- His role as the fire officer was one of the earliest television appearances for Patrick Stewart, who would go on to achieve worldwide recognition for his many stage, screen and film roles.
