I have a few questions/corrections regarding the various VHS releases. First up is the Jubilee Years. I have just aquired the full length one tape version from Granada video dated 1985. I also have the two part version from Vestron Video International. The main article on this release states that these are also from 1985 and makes it look like these were the original release. Although that date appears on the tape labels and also on the back covers, there is another date of 1987 which means they are reissues.
Next is the Time Life series. According to the article on these Bet was the first release. However, on the Rita video Judy Finnigan says "Welcome to the first....". Also the catalogue number would suggest Rita is also the first release and in issue 20 of the Street magazine (dated April/May 1993) there is a 2 page feature on Rita with an offer to buy the first tape in the series "Rita" for £6.99. I just wondered if maybe they changed their minds about which tape to release first.
My version of the Feature Length special (QE2) has a big yellow banner across the front stating that it is a Limited Edition with a 20 minute behind the scenes documentary tacked onto the end. It also came with a free 30 minute compilation tape celebrating 35 years of the show. The compilation was an exclusive to Woolworths.
And finally, the Viva Las Vegas article says that a 20 minute behind the scenes documentary was included. This was only on the Limited Edition version. My copy is the standard version without it.

I can't remember where the info came for the Jubilee years tapes but the Timelife series with Bet being first comes from the TV Times advert in the issue of 3rd to 8th December 1994 - see advert though I do recall wondering myself at the time if the order was changed.
