Fraser Henderson was Strangeways Jail's answer to Harry Grout or Mr Bridger - though he must be more than a little short-sighted as he mistook Liz McDonald as Steve's sister (!) whilst she was visiting him in jail. He developed an obsession with her, sending her flowers, gifts and finally £1,000. Liz was scared at first, but after meeting Fraser in prison - and was attracted to him.

Shortly after his release, he bought The Hour Glass pub on Albert Road and was seriously flirting with Liz. After buying her a car (only an old Ford Fiesta !), she willingly became his mistress - the first time in the back room of The Hour Glass.

Following Gerry Turner's raid on 11 Coronation Street, Fraser asked Liz to move with him to Spain so that he could avoid having the police constantly chasing him. Liz agreed and Fraser promised that he would find a job for Steve when he was released from prison. However, when Liz went to tell Steve the good news, Steve revealed that a number of Fraser's henchman had been arrested and were awaiting trial in Strangeways for an attempted robbery at a warehouse, and that Fraser had narrowly avoided arrest himself. Realising that Fraser had no intentions to end his life of crime, Liz confronted him about the robbery. Fraser quickly changed his attitude towards Liz, telling her that everyone in the world was bent and that he was better than most for being honest about it. He then told Liz that she meant nothing to him and that she was easily replaceable, before throwing money in her face for their time together. Liz picked up a nearby vase to attack Fraser but she was stopped by his threats of violence. He left Liz alone in the apartment and was never seen again.
