Formerly a teacher of English, History and Spanish, he played rugby for London Irish 1st XV. During his rugby fitness training, he became very friendly with late stunt coordinator Terry Forrestal, who along with his colleague Martin Grace, invited him to work with them on the period drama King David starring Richard Gere. He was trained up and helped to qualify for the Equity stunt register. Subsequently, he went on to double for actors such as Richard Harris in The Count of Monte Cristo and The Great Kandinsky, and Sean Connery in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
Other acting credits include roles in Harry, Screen One, The Detectives, Class Act and the 2013 film The World's End.
