Gabrielle Drake (born 30th March 1944 in Lahore, Pakistan) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as Swede Inga Olsen in June 1967; and returned to the programme as Vanessa in June 2009.

Because of her father's work, she spent her first eight years travelling around Burma, India and the Orient. When the family returned to England she was educated at Wycombe Abbey School for Girls in High Wycombe. Upon leaving school, she spent some time in Paris as an au pair girl looking after a family with four children. She then trained for several years at the Royal Academy for Dramatic Arts, then she joined a group of other recently graduated students to form the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool.

Her other credits include UFO, The Brothers, Kelly Monteith, Crossroads, Ffizz, Medics, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries and Doctors.

Film roles include The Man Outside, Connecting Rooms, There's a Girl in My Soup, Suburban Wives, Au Pair Girls, Commuter Husbands and The Steal.

On stage, she appeared in productions of Inadmissible Evidence, Edward II, Private Lives, Cyrano de Bergerac, Cowardy Custard, Titus Andronicus, The Comedy of Errors, The Importance of Being Earnest, Risky Kisses, Charley's Aunt, Present Laughter, The White Devil and A Penny for a Song.

She was the special guest on the edition of This Is Your Life, transmitted on 8th April 1987.

Her brother was the late singer/songwriter Nick Drake.
