Garry Stewart appeared in Coronation Street in April 1980 as Duncan Craig, a boyfriend of Susan Barlow’s.

Garry was born in Edinburgh and trained as an actor there at the Queen Margaret College. He has appeared in television in, among others, Taggart, High Road, Tutti Frutti and Churchill: The Wilderness Years while on stage he has acted in Macbeth, Of Mice and Men and A Man For All Seasons. His film work includes Six Hours Of Daylight and Shaka Zulu.

As well as acting he has a long cv of directing work for Dundee Rep, the Brunton Theatre and the Scottish Youth Theatre and is also a writer.
