Ged Simmons (born 1960 in Handsworth, Birmingham) is a British stage and screen actor.
After leaving his most prolific TV role in The Bill as DI Alex Cullen in August 2002 (a part he had played since late 2000), Simmons undertook a few guest TV roles while also focusing on theatre and writing.
In Coronation Street he played the minor role of the Private Investigator who tracked down Hayley Cropper's son Christian Gatley, in September 2007.
Other TV and film credits include Eleven Men Against Eleven, Bodyguards, Heartburn Hotel, Touching Evil, Doomwatch:Winter Angel, EastEnders, Holby City, Dream Team, Spooks, The Kindness of Strangers, Primeval and Doctors whilst notable theatre work has included A Little Fantasy and The Beauty Queen of Leenane.
His first novel, The Gravedigger's Story was released on 8th April, 2004.
