Geoffrey Annis (1938 - 20th December 2016) appeared in Coronation Street intermittently between July 1991 and June 1992 as the Registrar at four weddings of residents of the street.
He also appeared in The Road to 1984, First Among Equals, Prime Suspect 2 and The Trial of Lord Lucan.
In later years he was a voice-over artist for many main-brand adverts.
