Geoffrey Banks (1922 - 13th April 2008) appeared on Coronation Street in three roles:

He started his career as a radio actor in the late 1940s and appeared in the 1951 BBC television movie I Was a Stranger. After several years teaching modern languages at Smithills Grammar School in Bolton, he returned to the acting profession and portrayed several roles in television drama.

Other credits include Play for Today, Crown Court, Juliet Bravo, Dear Ladies, All Creatures Great and Small, Where the Heart Is, Doctors, The Royal, Heartbeat and the 1969 film Kes.

On stage he appeared in productions of Death and the King's Horseman, Edward II and Baths and Bed.
