Geraldine Milne was a client and old friend of Alec Gilroy. When one of Alec's escorts at his Golden Years Agency went down with a cold, he asked Ken Barlow if he could spend the evening entertaining Geraldine. The pair went to the opera and for a meal and Ken enjoyed her company, but was flabbergasted when she gave him his fee to give to Alec - so much so that Ken ripped the cheque up under Alec's nose and told him that he was not a prostitute. Ken was amazed when Alec later gave him £50 for spending the evening with her.
