The Girl was a customer at a drop-in centre where Yasmeen and Rana Nazir volunteered to give medical help and other advice. Yasmeen told the homeless girl that they could find her a refuge for a few days and asked if she had any family she could rely on, but the scared-looking individual refused to answer that question. Sat with Yasmeen was Sarah Platt who was desperate to get enough evidence to convict Nathan Curtis of grooming her daughter Bethany after the police had let him go after arresting him. Feeling that the only answer was to find more victims of Nathan, Sarah joined the two women at the centre and asked the girl if she had ever seen Bethany or heard of Nathan. The girl genuinely hadn't and Sarah was forced to look elsewhere.
