Manchester-born actor and singer Graham Fellows played two roles in Coronation Street, first a Young Man who chatted up Gail Potter whilst she was waiting for Brian Tilsley outside a cinema in an episode in January 1979 and secondly Les Charlton who between June and July 1982 had a platonic friendship with Gail while Brian, now her husband, was away working in Qatar.

Graham first rose to fame as Jilted John, who in August 1978 got to number four in the UK charts with a record also called Jilted John. At the time he said his ambition was to appear on Coronation Street and his wish was fulfilled four months later.

Graham now lives near Grantham in Lincolnshire and is now famous as Sheffield-born bon viveur and keyboard ace John Shuttleworth.
