Helen Sheals appeared in three roles in Coronation Street:
- Lilly Richardson, the mother of teenager Ben, Sophie Webster's boyfriend, in July 2009.
- Sheila, a nurse at The Oakhill Hospice that a dying Sinead Osbourne considered for her palliative care in September 2019.
- A nurse who treated Nina Lucas after she was attacked by Corey Brent and his gang in May 2021.
Her other TV and film credits include roles in The Hello Girls, Metrosexuality, Family Affairs, Where the Heart Is, Dalziel and Pascoe, Brookside, The Courtroom, The Bill, Casualty, Downton Abbey, Holby City, Silent Witness and Doctors.
On film, she has been seen in The Arbiter and the shorts Licks, Jermaine and Elsie and Grounded. On stage she has starred in Judy and Liza, the Musical on a UK tour, as well as productions of Julius Caesar, Three Sisters, Divine Gossip, The Will, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Flare Path, A Taste of Honey and Vieux Carré.
