Horace Steel was another new assistant that Norris Cole employed to work alongside at The Kabin following the dismissal of both Sheila Wheeler and a lady named Joan from the position. Initially, Norris was impressed by their share of similar values, tendancy to gossip and act quite snobbish. However, Horace proved to be worse than Norris at upsetting customers and got offended when Simon Barlow stated that the two men looked the same.

Norris informed Horace that they needed "a little chat" and Horace walked out of The Kabin, implying that he had lost his job.
