Ian Stuart Liston (born 4th August 1948 in Crosby, Merseyside; died 1st October 2016 in West Sussex) appeared on Coronation Street between March and April 1974 as mechanic Danny Burrows, who was a short-term boyfriend of Lucille Hewitt.
His other television credits included roles in Z Cars, Warship, Bill Brand, The Bill, Bugs and the long-running role of Ron Brownlow in Crossroads from 1980 to 1985. Film roles included The Breaking of Bumbo, Overlord, A Bridge Too Far, Scum, Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, White Nights and Captain Jack.
On stage, he appeared in productions of Cluedo, An Ideal Husband and founded The Hiss & Boo Theatre Company in 1977.
