Ivor Roberts (born 19th July 1925 in Nottingham, died 5th September 1999 in Cardiff) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as Silcock's Shirts factory owner Tommy Silcock in June 1972; and he returned to the programme as George Daly, who partnered Betty Turpin at a tea dance in April 1987.

He played in rep for twelve years before a lack of perceived success and the birth of his first child forced him to leave the profession and take up other work including managing cinemas in London. He moved back into the theatrical profession as a producer and then worked for five years as a television continuity announcer for Television Wales and the West. He returned to acting thereafter and gained his first television role in 1971.

His other credits included roles in Ace of Wands, The Kids from 47A, Z Cars, Crown Court, Marked Personal, Sam, My Brother's Keeper, Madame Bovary, How Green Was My Valley, Second City Firsts, Rough Justice, Secret Army, Backs to the Land, Crossroads, A Question of Guilt, Born and Bred, The Talisman, Codename Icarus, Dombey & Son, Death of an Expert Witness, A Brother's Tale, The New Statesman, The Bill, We Are Seven, The Nineteenth Hole, You Rang, M'Lord? and Oh Doctor Beeching!.

On stage, he appeared in productions of The Glass Slipper, The Late Christopher Bean, The Unvarnished Truth, The Government Inspector, Pravda and The Attractions.
