Jack Austin appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in September 1965 as Mr Hedges; and he returned to the programme in April 1966 as Don Crawshaw.
He also appeared in three episodes of the Coronation Street spin-off Pardon the Expression: as Mr Maxwell, a potential employer attending a jobs fair at Brookfield High School for girls in The Brain Drain, as a Clerk of the Court and as an Agent in the second season episodes Between the Covers and The Switched-on Scene respectively.
Along with roles in several series for Granada Television in the early to mid 1960s including The Younger Generation, Saki, Maupassant, The Odd Man, It's A Woman's World, The Villains, The Man in Room 17, The Liars and The Fellows, he also appeared as three different minor characters in Crossroads.
