London-based James Staddon appeared on Coronation Street in February 2006 as a Man that Deirdre Barlow had a drunken snog with on a girl's night out.

A former Choral Scholar at Rochester Cathedral, he has worked extensively on-screen and in theatre in the West End and America, most notably for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

His on-screen credits include roles in The Tripods, Casualty, My Family, Doctors, Midsomer Murders, Emmerdale, The Cut and Upstairs Downstairs, while on stage he has appeared in productions of Sweeney Todd, Jesus Christ Superstar, Dracula, Amadeus, Oklahoma, The Merchant of Venice, Macbeth, Cabaret, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, The Beggar's Opera, The Tempest, As You Like It, The Crucible, Mrs Harris and Birdsong.
