Janet Lee is the sister of Janice Lee, and aunt of Toyah Battersby.
In October 2001, a hypnotised Les Battersby revealed to a packed Rovers that in 1994, on the night he married Janice, he snogged Janet in the ladies' toilets. Janice was furious at the revelation, poured beer over Les and stormed out of the pub. The revelation led to Janice and Les splitting up, Janice later began an affair with Dennis Stringer and Les attempted suicide, however Dennis was able to rescue him but died himself in a car crash while driving him to hospital. Later in January 2002, Janet informed Toyah that Janice had moved to Sheffield.
