Janey Atkinson
Occupation Barmaid
Birthplace Liverpool
First appearance Unseen

Janey Atkinson was a live-in barmaid at the Rover's Return from 1903 to 1904. Born in Liverpool, she arrived in Weatherfield pregnant and unmarried but didn't announce her pregnancy until she'd seduced Charlie Corbishley - on her second day in the Street. She pretended her baby was his and tried to trap him into marriage but Nellie Corbishley could tell she was farther along into her pregnancy than she should be and had words with her in the back. Janey then returned to her mother.

Janey first appeared in Daran Little and Bill Hill's "Weatherfield Life", published in 1992. Other information is derived from Little's follow-up book, "Around the Coronation Street Houses".
