Jessie Jackson was one of a pair of "twin sisters" (in actuality cousins) who joined Underworld as machinists in 2005, along with Joanne Jackson.

The more outgoing of the two, Jessie was sacked by Danny Baldwin in 2006 after he caught her dancing on the tables. From there, she landed a job as an air hostess with Celestial Airways and left the street.

Jessie and her "twin sister" Joanne arrived at Underworld in February 2005, replacing departing machinist Sonia Marshall. The pair caused much amusement among their co-workers when they explained how they were often mistaken for one another, when in reality they looked very different. The two even spoke in unison.

In January 2006, after she'd turned up late for work with a hangover, Jessie's boss Danny Baldwin caught her performing to the factory girls a song she'd written by standing on a chair. Duly sacked, she subsequently sought employment as a stewardess, and a job offer from Celestial Airways proved to be her ticket out of Coronation Street for good. Her "twin sister" Joanne, who remained at the factory until July 2007, was later revealed to be her cousin.
