Jo Cameron Brown appeared on Coronation Street as the Registrar who officiated at the marriage of Nick Tilsley and Leanne Battersby when they eloped to Scotland in January 1998.

Born and bred in Edinburgh, she studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Drama, as a post-graduate in Voice and Dialect Studies at Central in London and is now an internationally recognised dialect and dialogue coach.

Her other on-screen credits include roles in Britannia Hospital, The Singing Detective, The Bill, Casualty, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Judge John Deed and River City, along with the films The Pirates of Penzance, Crush, Bollywood Queen, Skyfall and Ich und Kaminski.

On stage she has appeared in productions of Our Glass House, Les Belles Soeurs, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Boyfriend, Cabaret, The Servant of Two Masters, American Bagpipes, Slab Boys, The Ride Down Mount Morgan, Stepping Out, The Hang of the Gaol, Crush, Cyrano de Bergerac, Men Should Weep, The Guid Sisters, The Steamie, Sacred Hearts, Sir Martin Mar-All and Medea. West End productions include Perfect Days, Evita, The Beggars' Opera and Guys and Dolls.
