Joanne Whalley (born 25th August 1961 in Salford) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as Pamela Graham in September 1974; and she returned to the programme in August 1976 as a Customer at Sylvia's Separates.

Joanne's other television credits include roles in Joby, Crown Court, How We Used to Live, Emmerdale Farm, Making a Living, Edge of Darkness, The Singing Detective, A TV Dante, 40, Gossip Girl, The Borgias, Jamaica Inn, Wolf Hall, Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands, The White Princess, Daredevil, Tin Star, Willow and Carnival Row. She also played the role of Ingrid Rothwell in Stan Barstow's A Kind of Loving and Scarlett O'Hara, the titular role in Scarlett.

Among Joanne's many film credits are Birth of the Beatles, No Surrender, The Good Father, Shattered, The Secret Rapture, Mother's Boys, A Good Man in Africa, Trial by Jury, The Man Who Knew Too Little, Flood, Twixt, Muse, Resurrection and Scandal as Christine Keeler.

On stage, she appeared in productions of The Genius, The Pope's Wedding, Saved, As I Lay Dying, Women Beware, The Women, The Lulu Plays and a Bill Kenwright production of Three Sisters.

She was married to the Hollywood star Val Kilmer between 1988 and 1995, and carried out her acting work in this period under the name "Joanne Whalley-Kilmer".
