John Barrard (12th September 1924 - 13th October 2013) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly in January 1972 as Harry Mascall, a regular drinker at The Red Lion hotel; and he returned to the programme in July 1974 as Sidney Wilson, a good friend of Norma Ford.
Prior to these roles he appeared in the Street spin-off Pardon the Expression.
His other credits include Crossroads, Doctor Who, Survivors and Mr. Bean.
