John Comer (1st March 1924 - 11th February 1984) played three roles in Coronation Street:

He also appeared in Street spin-offs Pardon the Expression in 1966 and Turn out the Lights in 1967.

John found fame relatively late in his career through his roles in the TV sit-coms I Didn't Know You Cared and in Last of the Summer Wine where he played the cafe owner Sid. He also appeared in Jack Rosenthal's film version of The Lovers.
