John Flanagan (born 30th April 1947 in Ripley, Derbyshire) appeared on Coronation Street in January and June 1990 as Tim Arden, the father of Alec Gilroy's granddaughter Victoria.

With an extensive acting CV dating back to the late 1960s, his other credits include roles in ITV Sunday Night Theatre, Callan, Z Cars, Parkin's Patch, The Sweeney, Thriller, Softly Softly: Task Force, The Enigma Files, Crown Court, The Practice, Emmerdale, Love Hurts, Peak Practice, Silent Witness, Casualty, Heartbeat, The Bill, Whitechapel, Lewis and Endeavour, while on the other side of the camera he has also penned episodes of Doctor Who, Boon, Robin of Sherwood, Coasting, Sleepers, The Good Guys, Pie in the Sky, Ballykissangel, Murder in Suburbia and The Royal.
