John Wild appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as salesman Tommy Gregg who worked under Derek Wilton at Sandicroft's Confectionery in April 1982; and he returned to the programme as Stuart Morris, a friend of Jim McDonald who drew up plans for an extension at 11 Coronation Street in October 1991.

Graduating from the Central School of Speech and Drama in 1995, he later studied to become a Roy Hart voice teacher in 2007, and currently head of voice at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London.

His other acting credits include roles in Harry's Game, Sharon and Elsie, Help!, Bread, All Creatures Great and Small, Josie, Men of the World and the 1983 TV movie Gaskin.
