Jon Rollason (born 9th April 1931 in Birmingham, died 20th February 2016 in Llandudno) appeared on Coronation Street at irregular intervals between 1963 and 1971 as Dave Robbins, a friend of Ken Barlow's.
Away from the programme he appeared in three episodes of The Avengers and also appeared in Doctor Who and had a part in the world premiere broadcast of Harold Pinter's The Dwarves on Radio Three. As well as being an actor Rollason wrote for television, notably for daytime soap opera Crossroads and co-created the 1969 BBC1 series Special Project Air and was a collector of ceramics. He was also a published author and script-writer for radio. He and his wife Mary had two children, and had been married for over fifty years.
