Jonathan Barlow (born 3rd January, 1956 in Telford, died 10th January, 2014 in London) played joiner (and love interest for Gail Tilsley) Jeff Singleton in Coronation Street in June and July 1987. As well as appearing in Albion Market and Brookside, he was also a member of a sixties-style band, "The Almost Legendary Walter and The Softies" (named after characters in The Beano) who played for charity concerts among other appearances.

His long list of credits since 1977 also includes a regular role in the 1989 series Making Out and parts in The Ruth Rendell Mysteries, Birds of a Feather, Agatha Christie's Poirot, Fat Friends and Spooks.
