Jonathan Sidgwick appeared on Coronation Street as Phil Mason, an ex-boyfriend of Leanne Battersby who unexpectedly turned up in Weatherfield in July 2004.
Attending school in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, he graduated from Keele University with a BA (Hons) in French and German. While teaching English in Tokyo, he met Sandy Weiss, a graduate of The Neighbourhood Playhouse in New York, who was running 'Method' acting classes for ex patriots. Upon his return to London he was accepted into LAMDA.
His other credits include roles in Hollyoaks, Father Brown and EastEnders as well as the films Alice, Hellbreeder, Cargo, What Does Your Daddy Do?, The Witches Hammer, The Man Who Sold the World, Bane and The Juror.
On stage he has appeared in productions of Messiah - Scenes of a Crucifixion, Oedipus - After Sophocles, The Crucible, Wuthering Heights and Lusting After Pipino's Wife.
