Judge Margrave presided over the courtroom when Jerry Booth petitioned for divorce from Myra in January 1968. Jerry was granted his Decree Nisi when his case was eventually heard.

Before Jerry's case was seen, he watched two other divorce cases presided over by the same judge. In the first, the petitioner was granted a Decree Nisi on the grounds of adultery and custody of the children with reasonable access to the respondent. The second was a defended suit which had been postponed from the previous day, causing a delay in Jerry's case.

The character was credited as "Judge". His surname was given in dialogue in Episode 737 (8th January 1968).
