Judy Cornwell (born 22nd February 1940 in Hammersmith, London) appeared on Coronation Street in April 1963 as Georgina, one of many "fancy women" of Christine Hardman's philandering uncle, Edwin Mason.

Her family emigrated to Australia in her youth but she returned to the UK, taking up the profession of a dancer and comedienne before becoming an actor. She worked on the radio comedy The Navy Lark and the play Oh! What A Lovely War before first coming to mainstream attention with the TV comedy/drama series Moody and Pegg in 1974.

Her list of other roles is substantial and includes Dixon of Dock Green, Armchair Theatre, ITV Sunday Night Theatre, The Good Companions, The December Rose, Rumpole of the Bailey, Doctor Who, Heartbeat, EastEnders and Doctors, but she remains most famous for the part of Daisy in Keeping Up Appearances paired with Geoffrey Hughes.

Film appearances include Dr. Terror's House of Horrors, Santa Claus: The Movie and Cry Freedom.

On stage, she appeared in productions of Julius Caesar, The Comedy of Errors and Antony and Cleopatra for the RSC. Other works include The Masque of Hope, Old Flames, The Bed Before Yesterday, The Government Inspector and The Ghost Train.

She has published several novels and a volume of autobiography, Adventures of a Jelly Baby.
