Julie Hesmondhalgh was born 25th February, 1970 in Accrington. She is an English actress who plays Hayley Cropper in Coronation Street, she has also been in The Bill, and Dalziel and Pascoe.

Between her maternity leave in 2000 and 2001 she spent some time as panelist on Loose Women.
