Keith Appleyard was a short-term Coronation Street resident who moved into No.6 to look after his grandson Craig Harris following Craig's mother Angela’s imprisonment in 2005. While there, he had a brief relationship with Audrey Roberts.
In 2006, Keith began feuding with builder Charlie Stubbs over a repair bill, which ended when Charlie bought No.6 and turfed Keith and Craig out. Keith then moved to Bournemouth to live with his sister, with Craig remaining in the street to be with his girlfriend Rosie Webster.
Biography[]
Keith initially headed to Weatherfield in order to attend the funeral of son-in-law, Tommy Harris. He ended up staying on longer than planned to look after Craig following his mother’s imprisonment, for perverting the course of justice, and Katy’s suicide.
As the street was closer to Angela’s prison, Keith decided to move there permanently and began a brief relationship with Audrey Roberts. Keith later began feuding with builder Charlie Stubbs over a repair bill, believing that he had been overcharged, which ended when Charlie bought No.6 and turfed Keith and Craig out.
Having suffered from an angina attack, Keith planned to move himself and Craig to Bournemouth to live with his sister but Craig was against the proposal as it meant leaving his girlfriend Rosie. The move went ahead but Craig fled back to the street alone, Keith visited one final time and ultimately gave his blessing for Craig to remain on his own.
