Ken and Deirdre's Bedtime Stories was an online spin-off of Coronation Street. The first of ten episodes was made available on the ITV website from 14th February, 2011 and a new instalment was uploaded each week until 18th April. The spin-off featured Ken and Deirdre Barlow and shows the discussions which take place in their bedroom before the couple fall asleep (though the ninth episode is set during the middle of the night). The episodes were written by Jonathan Harvey.

Two running jokes featured throughout the ten episodes: Ken's attempts to read Hilary Mantel's Booker prize-winning novel Wolf Hall which showed slow but steady progress over the ten weeks and Deirdre's weekly Monday night question of “Did you remember to put the bins out?”
