Kieran O'Brien (born 1973 in Oldham) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as tearaway Joe Egerton who had a hand in stealing Don Brennan's taxi in January 1990. He returned to the programme between October and December 1993 as van driver Craig Lee, who brief dated Tracy Barlow during that time.

Educated at the Bishop Henshaw Roman Catholic Memorial High School in Rochdale, he began acting at an early age and was the star of the BBC TV series Gruey by the age of fifteen, and enjoyed further success with a recurring role in ITV's Children's Ward.

Other credits include roles in Jossy's Giants, One by One, Dramarama, Kappatoo, Heartbeat, Casualty, Cracker, Hearts and Bones, Band of Brothers, Burn It, Dalziel and Pascoe, New Tricks, Totally Frank, Life on Mars, Holby City, Holby Blue, Death in Paradise, Silk, Grantchester, The Syndicate and Prey. He has also appeared in the feature films Bellman and True, Virtual Sexuality, My Kingdom, 24 Hour Party People, 9 Songs, A Cock and Bull Story, Goal! The Dream Begins, Goal II: Living the Dream, Genova and The Look of Love.

An eight-year relationship with actress Nicola Stephenson ended in 1999.
