Brewery Newton & Ridley held a licencees' reunion in November 2003 in Blackpool at which Fred Elliott was present. Ashley Peacock decided to take his son Joshua up there for a few hours to see his grandad and the Tower and invited nanny Claire Casey along. Their day trip became extended when Ashley's car broke down and they ended up staying in Fred's caravan for several days. While walking along central pier one day, one of Joshua's shoes fell off his push chair unnoticed by all but a passing Lady who passed it to them, remarking how expensive children's shoes were. She cooed over Joshua and embarrassed Claire and Ashley when she said that boy had his mummy's looks.
