Bolton-based actress Linzi Matthews appeared on Coronation Street in 2010 as Prison Officer Birtles.
Having completed a three-year course in Musical Theatre at Guildford School of Acting in 1998, she was cast in the TV movie Warriors and the BBC series Eyes Down, whilst on stage she has appeared in productions including Dr Seuss the Musical, Outside Edge, Popcorn, Blood Brothers, Slappers and Slapheads, Mother Goose, Sleeping Beauty and Bookface.
