Live from Coronation Street was a special progamme to introduce the start of Coronation Street’s third weekly episode. The fifteen-minute programme was broadcast on ITV on Friday, 13th October, 1989 exactly one week before the first of the Friday episodes was transmitted.
The programme was presented by long-term Street fan Cilla Black who interviewed various actors about the characters they played and their upcoming storylines. The actors interviewed were Julie Goodyear, Roy Barraclough, William Roache, Helen Worth, Sean Wilson, Lynne Perrie, Geoff Hinsliff, Elizabeth Dawn, William Tarmey, Barbara Knox, Thelma Barlow, Peter Baldwin and Anne Kirkbride.
It was produced by Steven Lock and directed by Ged Maguire.
