Lulu Lockett was the manager of Tassels, a lap dancing club that Bethany Platt worked in.
When the police were called to a disturbance at the club in January 2018, special constable Craig Tinker asked Lulu if she had witnessed the attack. Lulu informed him that the club's new girl "Maddison" had been working nearby when the attack happened. Lulu later found Maddison and Craig was shocked to discover that she was actually his girlfriend Bethany.
Disapproving of the type of establishment that Bethany was working at, her mum Sarah, grandmother Gail and great-grandmother Audrey decided to visit Tassels. Lulu was surprised by the group's arrival but agreed to serve them drinks.
Lulu was unhappy with the group's scrutiny of how the girls were being treated at the club and asked them why they had come. Audrey told Lulu that her daughter was writing a book and that visiting the club was research. Lulu later spotted Bethany talking to the group and they admitted that the reason they had visited the club was to check that they were happy with Bethany working there. When she got home, Bethany told Sarah that Lulu had sacked her due to her family's visit.
Sarah revisited Tassels to apologise to Lulu and asked if she would give Bethany her job back. Although Sarah was successful in getting Bethany her job back, she was sacked again after Craig's mentor Jess Heywood reported the club to the police due to Bethany being underage.
