Lyn Paul (born 16th February, 1949) is a British singer and actress best known for her career in the 1970s pop group The New Seekers. Her connections to Coronation Street is that she had an uncredited role in the very first episode as a young girl playing outside the Corner Shop and almost exactly one year later she had a credited part, under her real name of "Lynda Belcher", of one of several children being taught by Ken Barlow at Bessie Street School. As a child actor, she was one of the very few credited guest cast to appear in the programme during the duration of the Equity actors' strike.

In 2010 she appeared in the documentary Coronation Street: 50 Years, 50 Moments, mentioning her appearance at the beginning of the first episode.

Her other television credits include roles in Doctors, Emmerdale and Holby City, as well as appearances on The Two Ronnies and The Morecambe And Wise Show. Lyn is also a successful stage actress, most notably in the long-running West End musical Blood Brothers.
