Actress Marie Critchley has appeared on Coronation Street playing four roles:
- An unnamed Nurse at the abortion clinic attended by Tracy Preston in August 2003
- Miss Muirhouse, the Head teacher at Bessie Street School in April 2009
- A Detective who questioned Tracy Barlow in December 2011
- DC Leigh from June 2017.
Other TV and film credits include roles in The Bill, Pierrepoint, Waterloo Road, The Street, Lilies, Emmerdale, The Chase, The Royal, Poppy Shakespeare, Heartbeat, Doctors, Sirens, Accused and In the Flesh.
Co-founder of the Northface Theatre Company, Manchester in 2001 along with artistic director Jason Hudson, she is also course leader of HNC Performance at the Arden School of Theatre.
