Marjie Lawrence (born 21st January 1932 in Birmingham, died 16th June 2010 in Esher, Surrey) appeared on Coronation Street between December 1968 and January 1969 as Marj Griffin, and made a return to the programme in September 1978 as Dawn Sampson.

Her other TV credits include Round at the Redways, ITV's very first continuing drama in 1955, Steptoe and Son, Weavers Green, Nearest and Dearest, Dixon of Dock Green, Z Cars, Paul Temple, The Sweeney, George and Mildred, Danger UXB and Agatha Christie's Poirot.

On film, she appeared in After the Ball, Design for Loving, The Early Bird, Hands of the Ripper, Carry On Henry, Bless This House and The Squeeze.

Wife of actor and television DIY expert Howard 'Harry' Greene and mother of television presenter Sarah Greene, she died from ovarian cancer in 2010.
