Mark Lilley appeared on Coronation Street as a small boy treated in the same Lake District hospital where the street residents were also attended following a coach crash in November 1969.
He also appeared in the second episode of the Jack Rosenthal-created series The Dustbinmen just two months earlier, coincidentally also playing a character credited as "Small Boy".
On stage, he appeared in a 1969 production of Miniatures at Stables Theatre, Manchester.
