Michael Angelis (born 18th January, 1952) is a British actor who played Franny Slater on Coronation Street in 1972. Arguably his most famous acting role is that of Chrissie Todd in Boys From The Blackstuff, though he has also appeared in episodes of Minder, G.B.H, The Liver Birds and Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. Michael also narrated the animated children's series Thomas The Tank Engine And Friends from 1991 to 2012, having taken over from Ringo Starr, he was succeeded by Mark Moraghan.

He was at one time married to Coronation Street actress Helen Worth, who plays Gail Rodwell.
