Michael Begley appeared on Coronation Street in the minor role of PC Bentley. Initially involved alongside WPC Myers in the search for the missing Nick Tilsley in August 1996, he was also the officer who broke the news of Derek Wilton's death to his widow Mavis in April of the following year.
His other credits include roles in London's Burning, The Grand, City Central, The Royal, Dalziel and Pascoe, Wire in the Blood, William and Mary, The Bill, Silent Witness, Casualty, Doctor Who, Holby City and Foyle's War, while on stage he has appeared in productions of Hunting Scenes from Lower Bavaria, One Day in October, The Tempest, Adam Geist, Death of a Salesman, The Norman Conquests, Pravda, The Arsonists, Sweet Bird of Youth, Mrs Lowry and Son and After Electra.
On the other side of the camera, he penned sixteen episodes of EastEnders between 2010 and 2020.
