Michelle Walker was the duty manager at the Postgate Hotel when Audrey Roberts was living it up at the five-star establishment having walked out on Alf in June 1991.

As per hotel rules, Audrey required to settle up every week in order to carry on staying there. Naturally, Audrey was paying the debt with Alf's money, using his subsidiary credit card. When Audrey came downstairs to pay the bill, her credit card was declined, as Alf had just cancelled it without his wife's knowledge. After the matter was brought to Michelle's attention by the receptionist on duty, Michelle took over, explained to Audrey that the card wasn't valid and asked her if she had another method of payment. Humiliated, Audrey immediately used the phone at reception to call Alf. However, in order to forget his troubles Alf had gone fishing with Don Brennan and Jim McDonald, and therefore Audrey's call was picked up by 5 Grasmere Drive's answering machine. Her next port of call was Gail, who was forced to put her up at 33 Hammond Road.

The character was credited as "Hotel Duty Manageress". Her name was given in dialogue.
