Miranda Forbes (11th August 1946 - 14th June 2001) played Beryl Challis on Coronation Street in April 1978.
Her other roles included appearances in Yes, Prime Minister, Press Gang and As Time Goes By, but she originally rose to fame as Wendy Winters in The Beatles' 1967 film Magical Mystery Tour, whereby she was credited under her birth name of "Mandy Weet".
