Mrs Barnes was a customer of Ernest Bishop's Camera Shop in Rosamund Street who collected some developed prints from Emily Nugent who tried to interest her in opposing the construction of the new warehouse on Coronation Street. Mrs Barnes told her sharply that she liked the idea of the warehouse and, moreover, next time she used the Mark Brittain firm she would buy a new instant camera bearing in mind the prices the shop charged for developing films.
